I can cut WInona Ryder a bit of slack because she’s still one of my favorite actresses, and she’s always been eccentric in her styles.

But the furry skirt? Eccentric or not, that’s just… weird. Also, it leads to a desire to make inappropriate jokes like whether that’s really a furry skirt or whether she needs a wax.

I wanted to write something witty and edgy about Kylie Minogue and her, uh, outfit. I’m not sure I can do it though because I keep laughing every time I look at it. Is she dressed as a spider? An alien? A futuristic S&M dominatrix?

Doesn’t Britney Spears have an assistant who can go and buy her some clothes that fit properly? This shirt could be nice if it didn’t look like it was all stretched and uneven.

It would also help if she put a bra on underneath. Also, I love Britney as a brunette, but if she’s buying extensions anyway, can’t she get some that don’t look all ratty?

Aha! This may be a questionable fashion choice, but it’s one I get. I frickin’ HATE to iron. I throw anything wrinkled into the dryer to fluff it up or I hang it in the bathroom while I shower in the hopes that the steam will help. Generally, I can rid my clothes of wrinkles.

But Ali Larter found another solution - just wear a dress that looks like it’s a big wrinkly mess and call it STYLE. I’m totally trying that when I go out to run errands tomorrow.

My retinas are burning

I always firmly believed that as beautiful as celebrities look in the traditional black or white formal wear, it’s nice when someone tries a splash of color to stand out. Emily Deschanel of Bones tried hard at a party in L.A.

However, you shouldn’t stand out by wearing two different shades of yellow that just don’t look right together at all. If the entire dress was either the color of the top section OR the color of the skirt, it would look more presentable, but as it is, it’s just not working. It kind of reminds me of bile.

I only watched Sex and the City on occasion, but as much as I enjoyed it when I did catch it, I never understood the Carrie Bradshaw infatuation. She was apparently some sort of major New York fashion statement trend setter? Is that right?

Are you sure? Because if that starts a trend I’m moving somewhere else.

Do you suppose that Sarah Jessica Parker ever stood in her dressing room, crying because she had to wear something totally ridiculous and pretend she was looking hot?

I guess it must be cold in New York City or something. That’s the only possible explanation for why she’s walking around in a big furry sweater and a trench coat.
