Cocktail disaster

I can’t tell you how badly I wanted to dish out some scathing snark for Amy Adams with this dress but I can’t get out because every time I look at it I start laughing hysterically.

Look, even if it has the name Dolce & Gabana, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s automatically a hit. Even your greatest designers have flops, and folks this is it. It’s a cocktail dress that was designed after one too many cocktails I think, it’s the only possible explanation for someone thinking, “A giant FLOWER BOW in the front would really make the whole thing POP!”

Sadly, I’m not sure what the explanation is for then choosing to wear it.

Paris Hilton dresses as herself for Halloween

Parish Hilton dressed up as a scary waitress. I like the idea and the creepy blue eye is wicked, but I’m not sure why she thought a “scary” waitress requires thigh-highs and garter belts. You know, other than the fact that she’s Paris Hilton.

Also, the ass hanging out? Why? Britney hasn’t been flashing her va-jay-jay at anyone later so it’s ass cheek time?

I can’t decide how I feel about this Mandy Moore dress. On the one hand, it’s very matronly and makes Mandy look older than she really is, when she’s still capable of pulling off funkier styles. On the other hand, she looks very classy and respectable which is more than you can say about a lot of other young celebrities these days. What do you think? Is it boring or awesome?

I swear to God, one of my great-aunts, who was roughly 85 at the time, had a slipcover on her couch in this exact same color scheme and pattern. It was pretty dizzying on a couch. It’s really not much better as a dress on Vanessa Hudgens.
