Holy smokin’ bob!

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Katie Holmes showed up at the 2007 Bambi Awards in Germany with a hot new hairstyle. She looks INCREDIBLE. I’m not crazy about the weird little capelet around her neck, but it’s not awful, and the dress is killer. But the hair! Smokin’ hot!

The Michelin Woman

Written by Sherry Linebreak

A lot of celebrities have role models when it comes to fashion. For instance, a lot female stars say they are inspired by Audrey Hepburn or Jackie Kennedy.

And then Julianne Moore has her own inspiration.

It’s good to have idols. Even if your idol is a tire mascot.

Goth girl

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Maggie Gyllenhaal must have taken the name of the Gotham Awards to heart since she showed up in head to toe black, complete with lace insets and the classic Goth pallor and disinterest in the world around you. Maggie? I think it’s just a name, not meant to be taken literally.

Through the shredder

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Lily Allen showed up at the British Fashion Awards in London looking like she was wearing the bastard child of Penelope Cruz’s weird feather dress and a paper shredder.

And what is on her feet? It looks like something made from plastic bags or maybe neoprene.

What a very unfortunate dress to wear to a fashion awards show.

Paris signs up for Jazzercise

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Is Paris Hilton off to a Jazzercise class? Or is she just looking as trashy as ever? She headed out in nothing more than a slip, some nylons, and a very fittingly-named White Trash Charms necklace.

It really just goes to show that not only can money not buy you happiness, it also apparently can’t buy you any damn taste.

Feathers and fur?

Written by Sherry Linebreak

I’m pretty much anti-fur myself, but that aside, even if this was fake fur I’d still be up in arms because who the hell combines a fur stole with a feather-covered dress?

Apparently Naomi Campbell does. I guess when you have all that money, you can wear anything you want. But that doesn’t mean you should.

Anne’s simplicity

Written by Sherry Linebreak

With the odd exception here and there, Anne Hathaway has this incredible knack for looking perfectly pulled together in very simple outfits. She looks less like a celebrity and more like someone you’d actually be hanging out with, and that’s what I love most about her style.

She was recently in New York City for an event at Saks Fifth Avenue and she just looked so effortlessly chic in a red shift and black tights, with the only glitz coming from her little metallic booties. Good job, Anne!

Rihanna needs an extra layer

Written by Sherry Linebreak

I don’t know what to say about this… dress? Halter? Strap? Halloween costume? Whatever it was that Rihanna wore. It’s one good sneeze away from being a wardrobe malfunction and she wouldn’t even need Justin Timberlake to pull it off of her.

Honestly. Did she FORGET part of the outfit? Did she run out of time? Maybe she could have borrowed Christy Turlington’s green t-shirt and then they’d both look better.

Satin must be banned

Written by Sherry Linebreak

I think this photographic evidence perfectly explains why no woman should ever buy a satin dress ever, and that satin should, in fact, be banned altogether immediately.

Because honestly, if you can take someone with a body as divine as Beyonce’s body and put it inside the satin bastard child of a prom dress and bridesmaid dress and have her look this bad then we can all rest assured that satin is not a material that will ever be flattering to any human on the planet.

Looney Layering

Written by Sherry Linebreak

I think we can safely say that we’ve taken this layering trend a bit too far when you take a glittery silver halter top and layer it over a t-shirt to top off a long black skirt. I don’t care if you ARE Christy Turlington, that is just a) weird, b) ugly, and c) inappropriate for the New York City Ballet. If you removed the t-shirt she would look fantasticm, glamorous, and ready for the ballet. With the t-shirt she looks like she either lost a bet or realized at the last second that she forgot to shave her armpits and needed something to hide them.
