I don’t care for thong bikinis. Thongs as underwear, yes. They’re uncomfortable but they’re great if you want to avoid granny panty lines. But thong bikinis with the public butt flossing, just no.

On the other hand, at least it’s not so bad if the person wearing it has a nice ass like Mena Suvari.

While Lauren Conrad’s outfit – from her own collection, naturally – is fundamentally cute, the big problem with that high waist on the skirt is that it kind of makes her look like a cocktail waitress which isn’t really the look people frequently go for when they go out.

The other thing is that while I know her collection just debuted recently and she’s therefore trying to show it off as much as possible, I hope that eventually she is going to be seen in something other than her own line of clothes.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is ridiculously pretty. I ‘m a big fan and sometimes she wears weird stuff but mostly she looks pretty. This dress is GREAT on her.

I have only one criticism for her. Sarah?

It’s called an eyelash comb. After you put the mascara on, just run it on through, I promise it won’t hurt but it WILL get those big old clumps out.

I’m torn on this dress. I can’t decide if I love it or hate it. I think it’s the top half that causes the trouble for me. If the print on the bottom was on the entire dress I would absolutely love it and want it. It’s just that it looks a little like the designer couldn’t decide what to do with it and threw two ideas into one dress.

Despite her reputation for style, I’m not often a fan of what Sarah Jessica Parker usually wears. However, I *love* this little black dress. She looks fantastic, the dress is cute, and I love the pearls. I’m not crazy about the choice of shoes, but I’m so in love with the dress that I’ll ignore them.

Anne Hathaway’s One-Shoulder-Look

This is a pro and con for me. On the con side, and this is a total bias, I don’t like the one-shouldered thing. I never really have, so on the one hand, this look makes me go “ick” in a reflex kind of way.

But on the other hand, it’s Anne Hathaway. She’s beautiful and pulls off a lot of different styles, and this dress, while one-shouldered, clings to her body in all the right, happy places.

She does look fantastic so I’ll give her a thumbs’ up and ignore the one annoyance about it.

Demi, Rumer, and Ashton – where to start?

There are so many things to ponder in this photo. Why is Ashton Kutcher wearing a white suit? Unless he’s auditioning for a part in a Miami Vice re-make (and please, let us have none of that, one re-make was bad enough), he just should not be in a white suit. At least he’s got the fedora going for him. An embarrassing confession is that I find Ashton ridiculously hot. The fedora only adds to that.

Then Demi. The dress looks like it might be nice, but it’s partially obscured by a fluffy fur coat and you just know that PETA will be all over that.

And Rumer. She tried, I can tell she did, but that dress? It is hideous.

I think overall, this would be a much better photo if Demi and Rumer were not in it at all and Ashton was wearing jeans, no shirt, and that fedora. Yes?

Amy Winehouse – too much with the clashing!

Positive things first – I love Amy Winehouse’s tartan top. No, that wasn’t emphatic enough. I LOVE her tartan top. I would love very much to own one myself. And the leopard print skirt is not bad. I am actually a bit of a fan of animal print clothing in moderation – no head to toe animal prints, but a short skirt is definitely good.

But really. Tartan AND leopard print in the same outfit? My EYES! One or the other, sweetheart, not both at once.

Sophia Bush glows in orange

Although I’m not crazy about the actual design of the dress, Sophia Bush looks absolutely radiant in this vivid orange dress. I know much of Hollywood likes to stick to black, red, or white, but it’s always nice to see someone step out in a bit of a bright color to shake things up.
