Something just doesn’t fit

Written by Sherry Linebreak

I’m not saying that Kelly Osbourne’s dress isn’t beautiful, because it is, but it just doesn’t seem to match up. Her personality and usual style doesn’t go with this type of old Hollywood gown. It’s kind of reminding me of that time when Courtney Love had her short-lived phase where she stopped wearing ripped babydoll dresses and wore Versace gowns everywhere she went. Nice on the surface, but not meshing with what’s underneath.

Crimping her style

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Dear GOD. Please tell me crimping isn’t going to come back in style. Because seriously, it’s one of those things where you can get fooled into thinking it’s a great idea if enough people are doing it, but years later, you’ll look at pictures of yourself with crimped hair and you’ll want to cry. There are yearbooks out there with pictures of me with crimped hair and I wish I could go back in time to tell myself it was not worth it to get up two hours early on picture day just so I could crimp all 25 pounds of my hair.

I know it’s Fergie, and I know she’s high profile so right now there is likely a gaggle of teenage girls trading their allowance money for a crimper, but if we all work hard we can fight back and stomp this trend into the ground.

What do you think?

Written by Sherry Linebreak

I can’t decide how I feel about this Mandy Moore dress. On the one hand, it’s very matronly and makes Mandy look older than she really is, when she’s still capable of pulling off funkier styles. On the other hand, she looks very classy and respectable which is more than you can say about a lot of other young celebrities these days. What do you think? Is it boring or awesome?

Right Guard!

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Woody Allen needs to invest in some good anti-persperant because no one can pull off pit stains, no matter how rich or eccentric (or weird) you are.

Bulls-eye!

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Why is Thandie Newton wearing three bullseyes on her chest?

I’d assume most men would notice your rack without having to draw attention to it with swirls stuck on like that. And it looks off too, like it wasn’t originally part of the dress and someone pinned them on as an afterthought.

Someone who understands makeup!

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Now this is what I call a good example! Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of female celebrities wearing way too much makeup, like someone is just throwing it on them from across the room. Natalie Portman is one who springs to mind – another very pretty girl who is way overdone.

Then we have Lost’s Emilie de Ravin. Beautiful!

She has makeup on sure, and more than I normally wear myself, but it’s not screaming at you. It accentuates everything amazing about her face from her eyes to her cheeks. She looks incredible and she didn’t have to bury herself under eight pounds of cosmetics to do it.

High waists suck

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Dear Rose Bryne,

I just don’t get the high waist. I hate high waist “mom” jeans, but honestly the skirts aren’t any better. If your waist on the skirt is that high then why not just go ahead and wear a damn dress? Cut out the middle man.

Plus, high waists always make me think of Urkel. Sorry, it’s true.

Where to start?

Written by Sherry Linebreak

Dear Janice Dickinson,

Here are some tips.

1. Stay out of the sun.
2. Just say no to botox.
3. Pressed powder. Use it.

You’re welcome.

Winona Ryder’s furry skirt

Written by Sherry Linebreak

I can cut WInona Ryder a bit of slack because she’s still one of my favorite actresses, and she’s always been eccentric in her styles.

But the furry skirt? Eccentric or not, that’s just… weird. Also, it leads to a desire to make inappropriate jokes like whether that’s really a furry skirt or whether she needs a wax.
